For the month of October, we look forward to the feast days during the seventh month of Tisri including Trumpets, Atonement and the Feast of Tabernacles/Ingathering. God commanded Israel to keep these holy convocations and we continue to do so today for it is His law written in the scriptures. And in keeping these holy days we place into rememberance our history and look forward to the great salvation and hope that lies ahead for us in the future.
- Feast of Trumpets: Thursday, October 3, 2024. The New Moon and first day of the seventh month Tisri. The trumpet represents God's voice and points to the time when God will call out to his people to prepare and gather them together in the last days."Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation, (Leviticus 23: 24).
- Day of Atonement: Sabbath, October 12, 2024. The 10th day of the seventh month Tisri and the most holy and solemn day of the year. The word 'atone' means to reconcile, make right and recompense. We fast for a 24 hour period, refraining from food and drink, and offer prayers for forgiveness of our sins. This holy day also points to the time when Christ will blot out our sins from our record books using his holy and powerful blood. "Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD., (Leviticus 23: 27).
- Feast of Tabernacles & Ingathering: Thursday,
October 17 to Thursday, October 24, 2024. The Feast of Tabernacles & the Feast of Ingathering occur simultaneously beginning the 15th day of the 7th month of Tisri to the 22nd day, with the first and last days being holy convocations. The Feast of Tabernacles points to the establishment of the Lord’s booths (churches) as well as the time when God will place his holy tabernacle in Mount Olives during the last days. The Feast of Ingathering points to the final gathering or harvest of God’s saints, which is also during the last days. "Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto the LORD. On the first day shall be an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein. Seven days ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD: on the eighth day shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD: it is a solemn assembly; and ye shall do no servile work therein., (Leviticus 23: 34-36).

"The bible is God’s word. Without his word we have no truth. It is from his word that we come to know God, who he is and how to obey him."
"We believe in the word of God and in his promise. We must be prepared for his coming, by obeying him and keeping his commandments."
"Your appearance matters. As sons and daughters of the kingdom of heaven, our appearance is most important as a sign of sanctification. It represents the wedding garment required by God to be saved."
"God sanctified other days besides the Sabbath day for us to come together and worship him. These special days help us to understand and remember God’s plan for our salvation and deliverance."
"We are the true Israelite, the children of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. God promised Abraham that he would leave a remnant, or portion of his children."
"Most of the “holidays” that the people in the world keep, are not holy, but pagan. When God gave the law to the children of Israel he also gave them certain feast days or holy days to keep every year. These holy days are part of the commandments of the Lord. The heathen kept other days in their worship of their idol gods."
"In the beginning when God created the heaven and the earth, He gave to man a day of rest. He sanctified the seventh day and made it holy. This means that it is set apart or separated from the other days of the week, for the worship and praise of God."
"What is a sacrament? It is a sign of sanctification and perfection that represents sacrifices of righteousness. Sacraments are ordained by God, and are ritualistically practiced."
"Tithes and offerings are perpetual divine ordinances of God. It is an unchangeable law decreed in the Ten Commandments and the Testimonies of Jesus Christ. When the Lord enriches you with your basic necessities, the things you need to occupy or exist in this earth, you are to return a portion back to him."
"Unlike man, God does not change. He said, For I am the Lord, I change not]. (Mal 3:6). Yet grievous wolves came into the Christian churches set up by the disciples. They changed the laws of God to worship idols."
"A basic definition of a testimony is to declare or acknowledge under oath. When we stand on the altar of God and testify we are showing a personal experience with God. It is a declaration of what God has done for us that will encourage others to continue in the faith."
